41 Hadith
إِنَّمَا بُعِثْتُ لِأُتَمِّمَ مَكَارِمَ الْأَخْلَاقِ
I have only been sent to perfect good character.
أَكْمَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِيمَانًا أَحْسَنُهُمْ خُلُقًا
The most complete of the believers in faith are those with the best character.
الْمُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِيُّ خَيْرٌ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ، وَفِي كُلٍّ خَيْرٌ
The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, while there is good in both.
لَيْسَ الشَّدِيدُ بِالصُّرَعَةِ، إِنَّمَا الشَّدِيدُ الَّذِي يَمْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ عِنْدَ الْغَضَبِ
The strong person is not the one who can overpower others. Rather, the strong person is the one who controls himself when he is angry.
الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ
The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى طَيِّبٌ لَا يَقْبَلُ إِلَّا طَيِّبًا
Verily, Allah is Pure and accepts only what is pure.
الْمُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِيُّ خَيْرٌ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنْ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ وَفِي كُلٍّ خَيْرٌ
The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, while there is good in both.
إِنَّ مِنْ أَحَبِّكُمْ إِلَيَّ وَأَقْرَبِكُمْ مِنِّي مَجْلِسًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَحَاسِنَكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا
The most beloved of you to me and the nearest to me in sitting on the Day of Resurrection are those with the best character among you.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَى صُوَرِكُمْ وَأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَلَكِنْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَأَعْمَالِكُمْ
Indeed, Allah does not look at your appearances or wealth, but He looks at your hearts and your deeds.
مَن كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ
Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him honor his guest.
الْمُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِيُّ خَيْرٌ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ وَفِي كُلٍّ خَيْرٌ
The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, while there is good in both.
إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ، فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ
Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of speech.
لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ
No one who has the weight of an atom of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise.
الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يُسْلِمُهُ
A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He neither oppresses him nor does he abandon him.
الْحَيَاءُ شُعْبَةٌ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ
Modesty is a branch of faith.
أَلَا وَإِنَّ فِي الْجَسَدِ مُضْغَةً إِذَا صَلَحَتْ صَلَحَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ، وَإِذَا فَسَدَتْ فَسَدَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ، أَلَا وَهِيَ الْقَلْبُ
Indeed, there is in the body a piece of flesh which, if sound, the whole body is sound, and if corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Verily, it is the heart.
لَا تَحَاسَدُوا وَلَا تَنَاجَشُوا وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا وَلَا يَبِعْ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَيْعِ بَعْضٍ وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِخْوَانًا
Do not envy one another, do not artificially inflate prices, do not hate one another, do not turn your backs on one another, and do not undercut one another in trade. Be servants of Allah as brothers.
الْقَنَاعَةُ كَنْزٌ لَا يَفْنَى
Contentment is a treasure that never runs out.
الْكَذِبُ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْفُجُورِ، وَإِنَّ الْفُجُورَ يَهْدِي إِلَى النَّارِ
Lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to Hellfire.
إِذَا غَضِبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْكُتْ
When one of you becomes angry, let him remain silent.
خَيْرُ النَّاسِ أَنْفَعُهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ
The best of people are those who are most beneficial to people.
مَنْ قَطَعَ رَحِمَهُ لَمْ يَدْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ
Whoever severs ties of kinship will not enter Paradise.
إِنَّ الرِّفْقَ لَا يَكُونُ فِي شَيْءٍ إِلَّا زَانَهُ، وَلَا يُنْزَعُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا شَانَهُ
Gentleness does not exist in anything except that it beautifies it, and it is not removed from anything except that it disgraces it.
الدِّينُ النَّصِيحَةُ
Religion is sincere advice.
التَّاجِرُ الصَّدُوقُ الْأَمِينُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ
The honest and trustworthy merchant will be with the Prophets, the truthful, and the martyrs.
مَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا
Whoever deceives us is not one of us.
إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَيُدْرِكُ بِحُسْنِ خُلُقِهِ دَرَجَةَ الصَّائِمِ الْقَائِمِ
The believer can attain through good character the rank of one who fasts and stands in prayer at night.
غُضَّ بَصَرَكَ
Lower your gaze.
مَنْ هَجَرَ أَخَاهُ سَنَةً فَهُوَ كَسَفْكِ دَمِهِ
Whoever shuns his brother for a year, it is like shedding his blood.
مَنْ غَرَسَ شَجَرَةً فَلَهُ أَجْرٌ بِكُلِّ مَا يُؤْكَلُ مِنْهَا
Whoever plants a tree will have reward for whatever is eaten from it.
الْمُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِيُّ خَيْرٌ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ، وَفِي كُلٍّ خَيْرٌ
The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, though there is good in both.
الْكِبْرُ بَطَرُ الْحَقِّ، وَغَمْطُ النَّاسِ
Pride is rejecting the truth and looking down on people.
الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ
The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe.
إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ، فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ
Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the falsest of speech.
مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمْ لَا يُرْحَمْ
Whoever does not show mercy will not be shown mercy.
لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ
No one will enter Paradise who has an atom's weight of pride in his heart.
الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ
The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe.
خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ
The best among you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it.
إِنَّ مِنْ أَحَبِّكُمْ إِلَيَّ وَأَقْرَبِكُمْ مِنِّي مَجْلِسًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَحَاسِنَكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا
The dearest of you to me and the nearest of you to me in seating on the Day of Resurrection will be those with the best character.
لَيْسَ الْمُؤْمِنُ بِالطَّعَّانِ وَلَا اللَّعَّانِ وَلَا الْفَاحِشِ وَلَا الْبَذِيءِ
The believer is not one who defames, curses, uses obscene language, or is vulgar.
الْمُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ
The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe.
