الصدقة

عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ صَدَقَةٌ. قَالُوا: فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ؟ قَالَ: فَلْيَعْمَلْ بِيَدَيْهِ فَيَنْفَعُ نَفْسَهُ وَيَتَصَدَّقُ. قَالُوا: فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَوْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ؟ قَالَ: فَيُعِينُ ذَا الْحَاجَةِ الْمَلْهُوفَ. قَالُوا: فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ؟ قَالَ: فَلْيَأْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ أَوْ الْخَيْرِ. قَالَ: فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ؟ قَالَ: فَلْيُمْسِكْ عَنِ الشَّرِّ فَإِنَّهَا صَدَقَةٌ

الترجمة الإنجليزية

Every Muslim must give charity. They said: What if he cannot find anything? He said: Let him work with his hands to benefit himself and give charity. They said: What if he cannot or does not? He said: Let him help the needy who are distressed. They said: What if he does not? He said: Let him command good or righteousness. He said: What if he does not? He said: Let him restrain from evil, for that is charity.
