Upon Entering a City
Transliteration
Allāhumma rabba s-samāwāti s-sabʿi wa mā aẓlalna, wa rabba l-arḍīna s-sabʿi wa mā aqlalna, wa rabba sh-shayāṭīni wa mā aḍlalna, wa rabba r-riyāḥi wa mā dharayna, asʾaluka khayra hādhihi l-qaryati wa khayra ahlihā wa khayra mā fīhā, wa aʿūdhu bika min sharrihā wa sharri ahlihā wa sharri mā fīhā
Translation
O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and all they overshadow, Lord of the seven earths and all they carry, Lord of the devils and all whom they misguide, Lord of the winds and all they scatter, I ask You for the good of this city, the good of its people, and the good in it. I seek refuge in You from its evil, the evil of its people, and the evil in it.
